Clare Ahalt is an award winning fine art portrait artist located in central Maryland, approximately one hour from Washington DC and Baltimore. Her work has been featured on the cover of the Professional Photographers of America magazine and has graced the pages of Inspire magazine and Click magazine. Clare aims to capture both the soul and essence of her subject, as well as a moment of peace and serenity that is so often missed in todays hectic society. She strives to provide exceptional customer service and exquisite heirloom portraiture.
Clare uses the world as her canvas. She grew up in England and this influence can be seen in both her styling and portraiture. Clare photographs on location around the mid-Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington DC area, and is available for travel across both the United States and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
She lives on a small horse farm, located at the base of the Catoctin Mountains in Frederick, MD with her husband, Dr. Brooks Ahalt, a veterinarian at Jefferson Veterinary Hospital, and her 5 children (which means she's pretty much experienced it all), dogs, horses, cows, pigs and chickens. She stays active as a lawyer in Washington, D.C. and also contributes to her husband's expanding veterinary business.
Clare is a proud member of the Professional Photographer's of America, the National Association of Child Photographers and Click Pro. She photographs with a Canon 5d IV and a variety of professional lenses.
