My Favourite Lens for Portrait Photography

I frequently get asked what my favourite lens is for portrait photography. I have a wide array of lenses that I do use, but my most beloved lens is the 200 f/2. It is a beast of a lens, and very heavy, but you simply cannot beat the results of this lens - the compression, sharpness, clarity and bokeh that this lens produces when I photograph simply cannot be beaten. It is one of my most frequently used lenses, and on my camera the majority of the time. The major drawback to the lens is the focal length - you have to have enough room to be able to work at a distance, and subjects, or an assistant to help, that are comfortable working at a far distance from you.
